The Romeo and Juliet hand of fate analysis I’m going to begin with is when Mercutio dies at the beach and when he curses both households to suffer beyond death. So within that scene we witnessed the death of Mercutio. Apart from the death of Mercutio scene we already know that both households Montague and Capulets are going to suffer anyway because of the prologue saying “A Pair of Star-crossed Lovers Take their Life” and we know obviously that the the star crossed lovers are Romeo and Juliet.the phrase “Take their life”means death. So Romeo and Juliet are going to die.Which means the two households are going to suffer because of their child’s death. So what Shakespeare is trying to define is that when Mercutio dies and he says and I quote “Help me into some house,Benvolio,Or I shall faint.A plague a’both houses! They have made worms’ meat of me.I have it,And soundly too.Your houses!
This hand of fate analysis is about the scene when Romeo talking about his and most favorite scene of the play “Hanging in the stars”.This scene is when Romeo senses and Shakespeare has like given him the power to seek the future and to enable to sense that something bad is going to happen. On that point alone we already captured within the actual script it says that when Romeo and Juliet meet, dance and kiss.He will find out that the girl he just established is a Capulet. And obviously we already know that the Capulets and the Montagues are having some kind of war at the moment. So when Romeo seeks upon the future he basically sees the woman he loves but its meant to be the enemy that he hates.Throughout the play, the stars are used as a metaphor for fate. This comes as a result of the belief in astrology which was common in Shakespeare’s day.His line “my mind misgives some consequence, yet hanging in the stars, shall bitterly begin his fearful date with this night’s revels and expire the term of a despised life.
